Oriented toward market demand, Sany Science and Technology Co., Ltd is committed to the R&D and technological innovation of large tonnage crawler cranes and special-purpose crawler cranes. The Shanghai-based engineering machinery manufacturer will showcase four of its best products at Bauma China 2010, including the 1600t single lattice boom crawler crane SCC16000, the SCC8300 especially designed for high-end markets in North America, an upgraded model of SCC3000WE dedicated to 1.5WM wind power hoisting projects, and the latest product the SCC4000 known as “China’s No. 1 Crane”.
The SCC16000 crawler crane rolled off the production line on August 30, 2010, featuring a maximum lifting torque of 2500tm, a maximum main boom length of 156m and a maximum combined luffing jib length of 108m+108m. By design the machine can be dissembled into transportable units. Its power system, control system, hydraulic system and the driver’s cab are all placed in a power supply box, which is of the same size as that of a standard container. This compact structure is convenient for transportation.
The SCC16000 crawler crane has many functions, including real-time display of levelness, automatic stopping of action when the operator leaves the cab, emergent electric control, lightening strike protection, automatic direction changing while traveling, closed-circuit TV monitoring and so on. Furthermore, Sany’s R&D engineers have given up the conventional lifting cylinder for superlift counterweight. They realized superlift counterweight rising through precise calculation. Light materials are used in the booms and the footplates on the platform to reduce the weight of booms and enhance the lifting capacity.
As an outstanding representative of China’s large-tonnage crawler cranes, SCC16000 will serve in the construction project of a nuclear power plant in Taishan, Guangdong Province in April 2011. This crawler crane will be used to lift the core part of the EPR unit of the third generation of PWR, which is most advanced in the world. This marks the first time when a domestic large tonnage crawler crane is allowed to lift the key heavy parts of the third generation nuclear power plants.
The SCC8300 crawler crane is creatively developed by Sany’s global multifunctional team who has always put customers first and guaranteed its incomparable performance and advantages via SPGP (Sany Phase Gate Procedures). The unique model is perfectly designed to meet the diversified requirements of crane leasers, construction companies and hoisting companies across the world. It features an Ultra driver’s cab with first-class industrial design, linear joystick control and other functions, thus presenting Sany’s customers with superb operating experience.
The SCC3000WE crawler crane dedicated to wind power projects is made of the first adjustable wire ropes in the world, which serves the function of enhancing the reliability of long booms in operation and the safety of the machine at large. The design of foldable boom sections can lower the gravity center of the crane traveling with long booms. Thus, it can improve the safety of traveling and reduce the cost of transportation.
The SCC4000 crawler crane rolled off the production line in 2006. As the first-ever 400t crawler crane manufactured in China, it won the Gold Medal in Shanghai Science and Technology Exposition. Known as “China’s No. 1 Crane”, the SCC4000 crawler crane is at the leading edge of electric control, power limit system, hydraulic mechanism, etc worldwide. In October 2010, the praiseworthy crawler crane won the bid to serve the rescue of 33 trapped miners in Chile and received high recognition from Sany’s customers and people worldwide for its top product quality and great social responsibility. With a portfolio of more than 11 work conditions, the SCC4000 crawler crane can serve various purposes of construction. The product has its key parts and components all supplied by world-famous manufacturers. It also features a powerful and outstanding safety control system which can ensure its stable operations in such adverse circumstances as extreme cold, high temperature, plateau and sandstorm.
