Keep Promoting Internationalization Strategy--Export Sales Exceeded 200 Million Dollars and Products Sold to 109 Countries in the First Half of 2008

In the first half of 2008, Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SANY) realized direct export sales exceeding 200 million dollars and sold its products to 109 countries. On July 15, 2008, the reporter learned from the SANY International Marketing Conference for the First Half of 2008 that SANY would keep promoting internationalization strategy. 

At present, SANY has established 13 branch companies respectively in 13 countries and regions, including Europe, North Africa, USA, India, Russia, UAE, Central Asia and Africa, Saudi Arabia, Southeast Asia, South America, Ukraine, South Africa and Australia. Up till now, construction of the Indian Industrial Park has been basically completed, the American manufacturing base is under construction and several European branch companies have completed the site selection and land requisition. A layout of global 6S shops of SANY is in a stable forming process.

Improving SANY products market share has been the matter concerned by general managers of international branch companies of SANY. According to Fu Weizhong, the vice general manager of American branch company, as a large number of public utilities were constructed in America, SANY pumping equipment's market share has entered the top three in American market.   

Zhang Zhongke, the general manager of North Africa branch company, and his team have increased SANY motor grader's market share to above 10% in Algeria. Among 14 North African countries, there are 8 countries where SANY products have been sold. Sales of mixing equipment and concrete machines have been increased by a big margin and the product sales trend to be diverse. As a result, the North Africa branch company is praised to be SANY international marketing champion in the first half of 2008, followed by the Russia (Asia) branch company, which has accomplished 87.45% of yearly tasks, and the UAE branch company.

Construction of service system is an important part of international marketing. In the first half of 2008, SANY has dispatched dozens of service engineers to international market. Most branch companies have realized localization of service engineers. Indian branch company has established a service system that implements regular maintenance before trouble occurs and provides quick-reaction service after trouble occurs. It has also established service consultation system and made the service ability increase a lot.

It is learned that SANY international has provided 18 training courses for its international marketing staff in the first half year. Through the training, the integral level of international marketing team has been improved a lot. In the second half year, SANY international will attach importance to management of agents, brand construction, employees' localization, etc. 

During the conference, Tang Xiuguo, the president of SANY, pointed out that SANY products sold in one country or region must adapt to the construction requirements of that country or region. For example, the products sold in Europe must be suitable for European construction characteristics. He also proposed to establish investment planning system, to reduce financial staff and strengthen financial audit and supervision.
