At the Achievement Exhibition during SANY Technology Festival, QY100 truck crane independently developed by the SANY Truck Crane Company turned out to be an eye catcher. With a designed maximum capacity of 130 tons, it is able to lift objects of at least 100 tons. With its main arm alone, it can lift objects as high as 52 meters, and if installed an auxiliary arm, such height can be further increased to 70 meters.
According to Chen Lin, Director of SANY Crane Research Institute, QY100 boasts optimized U-shaped arm support, three driving axles, and four steering axles, whose performance of driving and operation, as well as its electro-hydraulic control technology are leading among those of domestic manufacturers, and even of 1st class if compared with counterparts abroad.
Only a handful of domestic manufacturers are capable of large-scale truck cranes due to high density in technologies, complexity in structure, and difficulty in designing of such machines. The success with QY100 testified for SANY's technological strength, opened a path for the company toward comprehensive development on the market of large-scale automobile cranes, and set a milestone for truck crane development at SANY.
Truck cranes have been defined as strategic products for the company thanks to their high level of mobility, extensive application, great market potential, and relatively higher profit margins. The QY100 as a prototype is only the first step of SANY's product development strategy, the successful implementation of which will lay a solid foundation for development of a series of large-scale truck cranes, and will serve as a new growth factor for the Company. Moreover, the presence of QY100 also improves the overall brand image of the Company, seen to boost its sales of medium and small scale cranes. (By Ran Longqiang)
