XCMG XZ5000 – the largest horizontal directional drilling rig

The largest horizontal directional drilling rig in China XZ5000 is working at the construction site of the gas project in Changchun, Jilin province. Though the weather is very cold, and the geology structure is very complicated, the machine has excellent boring efficiency and quick operating speed. XZ5000 is a new product developed by XCMG Foundation in 2012. It adopts multiple advanced control technology and reaches internationally advanced level in the main performance parameters and the control technology. It features low gravity center and good stability, providing comfortable work environment.

Established in January 2010, Xuzhou Xugong Foundation Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of XCMG Group specializing in the development of piling machinery, non-excavating machinery, and mining machinery. Located at Xuzhou Jinshanqiao Economic Development Zone, the company covers an area of 150mu, and the plant area is 30,000m2. The company has a team of about 1,000 employees, among which there are over 100 technicians and hi-tech employees including experts of various levels. The company’s business scale is about 1.5 billion RMB, and the main products are horizontal directional drilling rig, rotary drilling rig, coal mine roadheader, and diaphragm wall grab. Multiple products have won national or provincial Prize for Progress in Science and Technology. In 2011, the company passed the certification of Hi-tech Enterprise of Jiangsu Province, and the “large intelligent non-excavating directional drilling rig R&D and industrial production” project was successfully approved as National Torch Plan Project and the company’s technology center was entitled as the Construction Machinery Engineering Technology Research Center of Xuzhou City. The company’s products have been distributed to about 20 countries in South America, Central Asia and Africa.
