Mercedes-Benz launches new generation truck engine

Mercedes-Benz has introduced its latest generation OM 471 engine as part of the Daimler Trucks heavy-duty truck engine platform. It is targeted for use in heavy-duty Mercedes-Benz trucks, starting as standard equipment in the Actros truck as of October 2015 as well as in Freightliner and Western Star trucks throughout North America and Fuso trucks in Asia.
