Case produces 10,000th compactor in India plant

 ase Construction Equipment, a CNH Industrial brand, has celebrated the production of the 10,000th vibratory compactor at its manufacturing plant in Pithampur, India amid its highest monthly sales volume in 25 years of operation.

Abhijit Gupta, brand leader for Case CE India, stated: “These achievements are testament to the popularity of Case vibratory compactors in India. Case is the absolute leader in this market segment in the country.

The demand for vibratory compactors is steeply increasing as a result of the Indian government’s push to develop India’s road transport network in order to support the country’s economic growth.

Road construction has gone from a rate of 13km per day of roads built in 2013 and 2014 to nearly 20km per day in the period between 2016 and 2017.

The Pithampur plant has been able to meet the resulting hike in demand, keeping pace with this fast growing market, and exported its highly successful vibratory compactors to other countries.

The plant is also a participant in CNH Industrial’s World Class Manufacturing programme – a global manufacturing standard for the integrated management of manufacturing plants and processes.

Just this week, CNH Industrial’s Iveco heavy-truck factory in Madrid, Spain became the group’s first facility to achieve a Gold rating under the programme – an accolade indicative of the very highest global manufacturing standards.

In other news, Case Construction Equipment’s UAE Al Shirawi Enterprises just launched its Case 570T entry-level backhoe in the UAE, after two years of successful sales in other Gulf markets.
