SANY Heavy Industry 72M Truck-mounted Concrete Pump Makes a New Guinness World Record

In 2007, Sany Heavy Industry 66M truck-mounted concrete pump made a Guinness world record of the concrete pump with the longest boom in the world, which was the first Guinness world record of its kind in construction machinery industry. Only two years later, Sany's new truck-mounted concrete pump broke the very record that Sany itself set: the boom length reached 72 M!

On November 3rd 2009, the first day of the 10th BICES Exhibition in Beijing, during the annual summit of Sany Heavy Industry Co. Ltd, Jack Brockbank, the international adjudicator from Guinness World Records, announced a certificate certifying Sany's 72M truck-mounted concrete pump as the concrete pump with the longest boom in the world.

To increase the boom from 66M to 72M is not as simple as to just extend its length by 6 meters, but to meet the technological challenges. When the adjudicator from Guinness World Records learned about the huge technological challenges we have to meet to increase each single meter, Jack Brockbank didn't conceal his amazement.

Mr. Yi Xiaogang commented that this Guinness world record is not only an honor to Sany Heavy Industry, but also great encouragement for Sany to create more technological breakthroughs. The successful roll-out of the 72M truck-mounted concrete pump shows Sany's competitiveness in making technological innovation. This is a landmark which shows that China has developed the technology and obtained the capability of making world-class truck-mounted concrete pumps. All the advanced technologies adopted for making 72M truck-mounted concrete pumps can be applied to making other series of concrete pumps, which explains why Sany can stand tall in the world in construction machinery manufacturing.
