SANY Heavy Industry invests USD 60 million in USA to establish a manufacture base

On Sep. 12^th of 2007, SANY Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. signed an investment memo with Georgia State of US. SANY will invest USD 60 million in Georgia to establish a manufacture base. This project will become the second overseas manufacture base of SANY following the Indian one. The board chairman Mr. Liang Wengen said that " SANY is not only to sell its products around the world but also to establish plants in countries with developed construction machinery industry."

Production capacity reaches to 500 million within 5 years

According to the agreement, SANY Heavy Industry shall invest USD 60 million on an area of 1600 mu to establish its American center of R&D and production. The American center will produce SANY's competitive products to further cover market inCanada and Mexico. Within 5 years, its production capacity will reach to USD 500 million.

As the leading construction machinery company of China, SANY has now manufactured 25 categories and 120 types products. The market share of its concrete pump and full-hydraulic roller is the biggest in China. Furthermore, SANY's concrete pumps are able to compare with products of German Putzmeister and Schwing. In recent years, SANY continuously improve the quality of its products and service and bring them to every corner of the world. In 2006, the sales volume of SANY was 8.1 billion RMB with export revenue of 100 million USD. In the first half of 2007, the export revenue has already reached to 511 million RMB. At present, SANY's business covers more than 130 countries and areas, its products are marketing in 80 countries.

International strategies 

In the past, SANY internationalize itself through exporting products abroad. Now, establishing overseas plant is another important internationalized strategy of SANY. The board chairman, Mr. Liang Wengen considered that international operation is not a shortcut but a gradual breakthrough for a company.

On November 23, 2006, SANY invested 60 million USD in Pune of India to establish its manufacture base, which is also the largest direct investment from Chinese company in India till now. SANY's Indian plants could produce 60 truck-mounted concrete pumps, 150 trailer-mounted concrete pumps, 50 concrete batching plants, 350 concrete mixer trucks, 150 motor graders and 300 other types of construction machineries each year. Its estimated investment profit ratio could reach to 30.40％.

It is reported that SANY America would establish its marketing and service network gradually, and take the concrete equipment as the leading products to bring along sales of other equipments.

The first company who build plants in US

SANY's project in Georgia is the largest investment in US of Hunan province till now. And SANY is also the first construction machinery manufacture of China to build plants in US. On Sep. 12th of 2007, Mr. Mei Kebao, vice secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Sunny Pardue, Governor of Georgia state, Ms. Qiao Hong, Consul General of China Consulate General in Houston and nearly 200 officials and customers attended the signing ceremony of SANY's project.
