Let There Be Love Everywhere: The Second Deqing-Changsha Summer Camp Concludes

“Mum. I have felt in Aunt Kemei Li what is most beautiful in the world. She is so sincere, generous, and graceful. I may be an ordinary person after I grow up but she is the type of person I want to be.” The Second Deqing-Changsha Summer Camp came to an end on July 18 and this was what Baoxian Zhang, a student participant, told her mum in a text message.

On July 11, over 60 junior middle school students from Anren of Hunan Province, Chibi and Huanggang of Hubei Province arrived in the Sany Technical College and started their Deqing Summer Camp which was to last for 7 days. The students aimed at learning more about city life, the local history, and getting closer to nature through their visits to the Yuelu Academy, Central South University, the Colorful World, the Marine Museum, and Sany Group.

The Deqing Summer Camp was sponsored by the Anren Deqing Education Foundation founded by President Xiuguo Tang and his wife Kemei Li in 2004 and the 50 students were selected by the Educational Bureau of Anren County on the basis of study and character.
