Fuel saving rate of truck-mounted concrete pumps reaches to 10%-46%
Fuel saving rate of asphalt pavers reaches to 26%～36%

On May 30^th, at the appraisal conference of " Energy saving technology research and application" that jointly held by Hunan Science and Technology Ministry etc, the project of SANY's "Energy saving technology research and application of truck-mounted concrete pumps and asphalt pavers" was approved by the experts committee.

It is reported that SANY's research on energy saving technology was induced by a customer's request. His truck-mounted concrete pump had a relatively large fuel consumption volume in some construction conditions, so he proposed how to realize the fuel saving. Then SANY's research team encountered a significant task of how to realize maximum fuel saving in various conditions.

In 2004, SANY established a project team headed by Yi Xiaogang. The research team carried on technology development of fuel saving basing on construction machinery like SY truck-mounted concrete pump and LTU120II asphalt paver self-developed by SANY. This project aims at increasing utility rate of engine power, decreasing power losing of hydraulic system, realizing rational match up between power system and load to decrease fuel consumption, prolong the lifespan of important parts like engine and hydraulic system. SANY had invested totally 20 million yuan on this project.

The research results indicates that a fuel saving rate of 10%-46% on truck-mounted concrete pumps and 26%-36% on asphalt pavers could be achieved by utilizing this technology. Now, the fuel saving technology has adopted to SANY's truck-mounted concrete pumps and asphalt pavers on sale with a good market response.

Mr. Yi Xiaogang said that there are 4600 truck-mounted concrete pumps and 350 asphalt pavers of SANY around the country according to the statistics, and 95500 tons diesel and 382 million yuan could be saved after the application of the energy saving technology. If other kinds of construction machineries adopt the technology, annual fuel saving cost would be several billion yuan, which has a significant meaning to build an economized society.
