YT60 – the truck with the world's tallest aerial ladder

Recently, the Fire Fighting Machinery Branch Company independently developed and designed a manned fire truck, the ZLJ5290JXFYT60, which went into production at the Wangcheng Industrial Park and has the world's tallest aerial ladder. 

The Zoomlion ZLJ5290JXFYT60 ladder truck fills a gap in the domestic market for trucks with super-tall aerial ladders, and it is an important milestone in the development of the fire truck manufacturing industry in China," the project leader stated. 

Previously, the world's tallest ladder truck had a lifting height of 58 meters. Zoomlion's ZLJ5290JXFYT60 ladder truck has a maximum lifting height of 60 meters, allowing it to reach the majority of high-rise buildings. 

During two years of research and development, the project team overcame a number of key technical difficulties to successfully develop the first prototype, whose technical parameters and performance indicators were up to international advanced levels. After entering the market, it is expected to become a major tool in urban high-rise fire and rescue operations in China and abroad. 

The ladder truck has a six-section telescopic ladder, and each section has been specially designed to ensure adequate rigidity and strength, while also making it extremely lightweight. The telescopic mechanism uses an all-new winch with bidirectional drive technology to allow synchronized control of the telescopic ladder. This greatly reduces the deployment time of the ladder, with full extension taking only 135 seconds, which is less than two-thirds of the recommended deployment time according to national regulations. Meanwhile, the product has an all-new basket structure and lift control. The basket can carry a maximum load of 180kg and has a maximum operating speed of 1m/s. The vehicle is also equipped with an advanced integrated ladder load monitoring system and ladder correction system. 
The arrival of the Zoomlion ZLJ5290JXFYT60 ladder truck is a sign of the company's overall dominance in the domestic ladder truck market, but also of Zoomlion ladder truck design and manufacturing standards reaching international levels.
