The year 2006 is the first year of SANY Heavy Machinery in Kunshan to put into production roundly. In terms of infrastructure construction, production, human resources, administration, logistics service etc., SANY Heavy Machinery is being built step by step to create a good foundation for this year's work. In 2006, SANY Heavy Machinery finished sales plan by 124.5%, a year-on-year increase of 10.26%; finished profit plan by 143.11%, a year-on-year increase of 12.76%; paid taxes of RMB 26 million yuan.

Enhancement of research ability contributes to big achievements on research. The academy of SANY Heavy Machinery completed 33 projects in 2006 with a completion rate of 100%. What is more, the academy has added 13 projects according to products condition, 7 of them were completed, 6 projects are developing normally. Compared with the estimation at the beginning of the year, the actual finished projects are 3 more. 

It is reported that research is always one of the important works in SANY Heavy Machinery. The major research projects includes trial production of  SY200/210F and SY230F, the exchange design of hydraulic components and engines in 20 tons products, the launch of SY310 and SY310C, the update of SY420. All the works have established a good foundation for the manufacture and sales of excavators in 30 and 40 tons. At present, SANY Heavy Machinery has obtained 37 patents.
