S725TX designed for high performance and versatility to appeal to rental and landscape markets
October 22, 2014
Vermeer has introduced its newest mini skid steer that can handle a wide array of projects, from irrigation systems and hardscape projects to tree care removal and fiber optic installations. The S725TX fits in the middle of the product lineup and can accommodate a wide range of attachments, making it one of the most versatile machines a contractor can have.
“Vermeer is meeting the evolving needs of our customers,” said Todd Roorda, tree care and rental sales manager for Vermeer. “The markets we serve have different needs, but all desire cost-effective, high-performing and reliable equipment.”
The S725TX has a 750-pound (340.2 kg) SAE-rated operating capacity with a 2,145-pound (973.0 kg) tipping capacity. A 24.8-horsepower (18.2 kW) Kubota Tier 4 Final engine features four cylinders producing more torque than models with three-cylinder engines for improved productivity in tough ground conditions.
Its compact size and choice of track width makes the S725TX ideal for landscape professionals and do-it-yourself homeowners who need the ability to maneuver through gates and other tight spaces. The S725TX is available with either the standard 9-inch (22.9 cm) track or the narrower 7-inch (17.7 cm) track option.
The universal attachment plate allows for quick change of a variety of attachments, making the S725TX a versatile machine for a variety of applications for a do-it-yourself homeowner or the professional contractor. A dual auxiliary circuit option on the auxiliary hydraulic system is available for certain attachments that require high-flow/low-flow circuits.
The enhanced operator station features a single, pilot-operated joystick for smooth operation. A high-mounted track sprocket design helps keep the drive sprocket out of the dirt to reduce premature wear in tough ground conditions. The platform also helps keep operators out of the mud and debris and provides optimal viewing of attachments during operation.
The Vermeer mini skid steer line includes the S450TX and S800TX, both available with diesel and gas engines. (Source: heavyequipmentguide.ca)
