SANY’s Rotary Drilling Rigs in Action in Harsh Weather

In the middle of October, 2012, SR150 rotary drilling rig from Beijing Pile Driving Machinery was used in the construction of a project of the oil and gas transportation station in Noyabrsk in Russia and all the rotary drilling rigs used in the project were from SANY.

Noyabrsk lies in the north of Russia near the North Pole, where it is in the permafrost and the weather there is very cold. The temperature there is below 0 degree Celsius all the year round. Since rotary drilling rig may not function well due to the bad weather, the construction sides made SANY ensure that the rotary drilling rig functioned well when temperature dropped to minus thirty degrees to minus forty degrees. In order to meet the requirements, Beijing Pile Driving Machinery took many precautions, including keeping the oil tube, primary pump and many other parts warm, replacing all the oil tube with cold-proof oil tube, installing actuated device designed for low temperature, using cold-proof diesel oil of high quality and covering the machine after it is turned off.

Meanwhile, special service providers were sent by the Russian dealer of Beijing Pile Driving Machinery to watch the machines 24 hours a day in event of malfunction. Since SR150 has been adapted for the severe conditions, the piling process is going smoothly, with the pore size of 0.8m, the depth of 10 to 15m, which is precisely what the construction side wanted.
