SANY Crawler Crane Refreshes Lifting Record Again

On January 23, SANY SCC16000 again refreshed the record of weight lifted within the industry with 950.5 tons as it completed an operation in an absorption tower project which belongs to Sinopec’s Maoming Company.

The 22C001 absorption tower is the heaviest and highest equipment in the coal-based hydrogen plant of Sinopec’s Maoming Company. SANY completed the project in two phases. In the first phase, a SANY crawler crane was used to construct the lower part of the absorption tower with a height of 65.64m and a weight of 868 tons (including the weight of the equipments within the tower). At last, the SCC16000 crawler crane successfully completed the task.

SANY’s SCC16000 crawler crane has come into service in 2011. With a maximum rated lifting capacity of 1,600 tons and a maximum load moment of 25,000t•m, it is superior to similar products produced by foreign competitors.

The crawler crane with a capacity of over one thousand tons developed by SANY has been adopted in the hoisting of the dome of nuclear power plants for 17 times as well as China’s first 6M wind turbine. As an outstanding representative of crawler cranes with a capacity of over one thousand tons, the SCC16000 has taken part in hoisting the domes of the third generation nuclear power plants, making it the only equipment that can conduct this operation.
