Carlyle Group Reduces Share Stake to 45%

The case of Carlyle's acquisition on Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group (XCMG) that lasted wavily for above two years was finally ended that Carlyle Group completely abandoned the shareholding claim to enter into the "case close" phase. Recently, XCMG signed the acquisition agreement with U.S. Carlyle Group and Carlyle Group further reduced the share stake. Under that agreement, XCMG and Carlyle Group will hold 55% stake and 45% stake of XCMG respectively and XCMG finally grasped the shareholding right.

The further compromise of Carlyle Group indicated that the policy audit approval has exerted increasing effects on the "Beheading" acquisitions of foreign capitals.
