China's First High-power Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with Integrated Variable Frequency Speed Control

The first 400kW integrated frequency-variable permanent magnet synchronous motor was tested and approved qualified in all performance tests and rolled off the production line on December 25, 2010 in Sany Electrics. This is the first independently developed permanent magnet synchronous motor integrating speed control with frequency conversion in China.

It has been proved through tests that all its performances were up to standard or even excelled the advanced levels in the world. Comparing to imported machines of the same power rating, the weight of the electric motor is reduced by 10%, the overload capacity improved by 10% and efficiency improved by 2%; comparing to separate machines, the electric motor is more compact in structure and it occupies only half of the area.

In the Twelfth Five-year Plan, energy-saving and emission-reduction is one of the national-level tasks. The concept of energy-saving has penetrated all aspects of people’s production and livelihood and the launch of this electric motor meets the demand of the domestic market timely. It is a new generation of electric-drive product which features low carbon emission and low energy consumption. It can be widely applied in mines, harbors, power plants, steel plants and places where equipment upgrading is urgently needed.(Article by Li Na)
