List of Chinese Top Enterprises in Forbes - Sany Ranked Top 10

On August 11, Forbes issued"2008 Chinese Top Enterprises List", on which Sany Group rose to the 10th place from the 70th place last year. Also, it is the first time for large-scale non-governmental enterprises in Hunan Province to achieve such sound performance.

Forbes has issued Top Enterprises Lists concerning China's large-scale nongovernmental enterprises for three consecutive years, and enterprises on the list shall achieve "3 billion yuan of sales revenue in 2007 and mainly operate in China mainland in the name of nongovernmental enterprise".

Ping An Insurance, which was listed for the first time, ranked No.1 place on the Top Enterprises List followed by Lenovo and Rizhao Steel.

The average assets of 100 enterprises on the list totaled 40.5 billion yuan in 2007, up 100% from a year earlier; the average sales revenue amounted to 19.6 billion yuan, up 46% from the previous year; average profits reached 1.7 billion yuan, up 73% from last year.

Sany Group only takes one year to jostle into Top 10 from the 70th place in 2007. Last year, Sany Group's ranking was backward among top 10 enterprises owing to its 18.9 billion yuan of total assets and 13.5 billion yuan of sales revenue, but its profits skyrocketed to 4 billion yuan, with weighted average of profit growth rate reaching 206%, second only to Lenovo and Rizhao Steel.
