XCMG-Bolivia football friendly

On November 6, a spectacular international football friendly opened on the football pitch of China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT). The pitch was permeated with mutual encouragement and praise rather than smell of gunpowder. Whenever XCMG’s players fell, Bolivian players would help them up; whenever the Bolivian team scored a goal, spectators would give warm applause. These are scenes of a friendly between the football team of the Bolivian army corps of engineering and their counterpart from XCMG Import and Export Co., Ltd.

In the Bolivian army corps of engineering, they were skillful workers; in Xuzhou, they were studious and modest students; on CUMT’s football pitch, they were passionate and agile sportsmen. They are XCMG’s product trainees from the Bolivian army corps of engineering.

XCMG Import and Export Co., Ltd.’s staff and CUMT’s teachers and students made up a cheering squad to cheer both teams. Through the friendly match, the two sides exchanged football skills and promoted friendship, and the Bolivian friends keenly felt Xuzhou’s warmth, tolerance and vitality. Eventually, the Bolivian team won the match.

This September, XCMG shipped its 197 sets s worth 20 million U.S. dollars to Bolivia as the first construction machinery project since the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Bolivia, XCMG’s first batch order with plateau countries as well as XCMG’s new major breakthrough in South America following its largest order with Venezuela. Staff of the Bolivian army corps of engineering had come for the product training delivered by XCMG. The 24-day training is a major move of XCMG Import and Export Co., Ltd. to perfect customer services for the Bolivian project, which shows XCMG is advancing its internationalization strategy steadily.

Through field visits and expert training, the 14 trainees have learned product knowledge in depth, but a short span of 24 days is obviously insufficient for them. A brief tour of Xuzhou’s historical and humanistic sites in the interval made them feel time flies. Even so, they were impressed by Xuzhou’s connotative Han culture and fast social and economic development. With overseas development as opportunity and products as carrier, growing Xuzhou and XCMG will be known to more and more foreign friends.
