Zoomlion Receives Another Golden Round Table Award

On November 6, the Golden Round Table Forum and Awards Ceremony for boards of directors of Chinese listed companies, organized and sponsored by Directors & Boards(Dongshihui) magazine, was held in Nanjing. At the ceremony, a number of outstanding listed companies, such as ICBC, Zoomlion, and Vanke, won awards. Zoomlion's Wang Yue was named the most influential independent director and Zoomlion's Shen Ke was named the most innovative company secretary. 


This year's event was the ninth Golden Round Table Forum and Awards Ceremony. The event boasts a high attendance and is praised for its fairness and transparency. As such, it has become a reliable indicator of quality corporate governance and received the attention of capital markets for being forward-looking, authoritative, objective, and impartial. 
Chief editor of Directors & Boards magazine, Nai Yongsong, stated that the new norm for the Chinese economy is the natural result of the purification and optimization of the social integrated development environment, the essence of which is getting economic development back on the track of market development laws and reactivating the market's value discovery and value expansion functions because, for groups of listed companies, the value of outstanding company's is easy to highlight. 
He went on to say that this new norm places higher requirements on listed companies, and the fundamental way to deal with this challenge is to try to improve corporate governance. Participants praised Zoomlion'stransition to a mixed ownership structure as it was felt that it not only allows the company to achieve mixed ownership, but more importantly it allows it to establish scientific corporate governance as well as incentive and constraint mechanisms, which reflect institutional, governance, and mechanism innovations. 
This is the seventh consecutive year Zoomlion has received a Golden Round Table Award. Zoomlion was also lauded for its impressive corporate and market performance.
