LiuGong Cranes Delivered to Turkey

LiuGong Europe (LGEU) completed a contract for 25 cranes with TÜRKİYE ELEKTRİK İLETİM A.Ş. (TEIAS), a state-owned Turkish power company. The delivery ceremony was held in the Turkish city of Sakarya on November 8th, 2012 with top management and staff from both TEIAS and LiuGong in attendance.

The contract took nearly 3 years of effort by LGEU and its Turkish dealer UYGUNLAR DIS TICARET AS (UYGUNLAR). In the beginning of 2010, when UYGUNLAR received the message that TEIAS would like to put their crane purchase into public tender, they informed LGEU. LGEU immediately started the bidding process. The bidding team from LGEU and UYGUNLAR visited TEIAS’ technical director, purchasing director and other related managers more than 10 times to figure out their needs, requirements and preferences. Meanwhile, in order to introduced the LiuGong brand and product more comprehensively, LGEU also invited TEIAS to visit LiuGong Anhui crane factory to experience the whole crane manufacturing process first hand.

With the in-depth understanding by both sides, UYGUNLAR received the official tender in 2011. But that was just a start.

This would be the first time LiuGong cranes were used in the aerial for power equipment maintenance and the required crane chassis was different from previous product. LiuGong’s R&D team did a lot of hard work to redesign the machine to meet the requirement of TEIAS and ensure the safety of operator at the same time.

“I participated in the whole tender process. I experienced the excellent response from LiuGong sales team, meticulous attitude from R&D team and the reliability of the LiuGong product”, said Mr. Ahmad, the technical director of TEIAS.

Hard work can certainly pay off. On the opening day of the bid, whether it was the price, product design or safety concept, LiuGong crane was better than any other competitor. “Even if the results are not announced, I think it is pretty obvious,” one competitor from a European company said on that day.“Congratulations!”
