Caterpillar has received recognition from the Australian Women in Resources Alliance (AWRA) for their achievements in gender diversity and women’s workforce participation. We are the first organization to achieve this assessment which reflects the benefits and the competitive advantages of workforce diversity, and their commitment to striving for industry “best practice.”
The group now bears an AWRA RecognisedTM stamp which can be displayed on general advertising, sponsored events and, most importantly, on external job advertisements (via SEEK). A special thanks to the Australian chapter of Women's Initiative Network (WIN) for their work in raising diversity issues and thanks to those employees who participated in the assessment.
"This is a great result, but what is more satisfying is that we now have a report from an external agency which provides a road map to greater diversity outcomes," said Scott Latham, Caterpillar HSD country manager Australia and Southeast Asia. “We are really proud of Caterpillar’s focus on diversity and the Gold recognition by AWRA demonstrates how that focus is being translated into outcomes. We still have work to do and are very confident that we have the right teams and action plans in place to continue building on our diversity outcomes.”
