On June 20, Ceremony of the First Products’ Delivery of XCMG Venezuela Project was grandly held at the production base of XCMG, located in Xuzhou economic and technological development zone. Splendid firework, ceremony gunfire and flying pigeons symbolizing the peace brought forth a celebrating atmosphere. The first 790 units, valued 365 million Yuan (56 million USD), were standing with dynamic momentum at the ceremony, which included XCMG’s crane, loader, excavator, paver, bulldozer, milling machine, concrete pump trunk, concrete mixer, grader, heavy truck and etc.

The XCMG-Venezuela project worth of 744.6 million USD is by far the largest order of construction machinery in China. It has generated tremendous impact towards global market of construction machinery, marking a higher level of Chinese enterprises’ internationalized operation in this aspect.
The government of Venezuela has issued a beneficial project dedicated to providing two million apartments for the local people by the start of 2011. However, such a large project needed large amount of construction machinery accordingly in the aspects of land leveling, road and housing building.
XCMG has taken this opportunity and participated into the project under the care and guidance of bilateral governments and support from National Development and Reform Commission, Chinese Ministry of Commerce, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products and others. In March, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela President Chavez has met with XCMG’s delegation that was on a visit to the country, and both sides exchanged views about XCMG’s providing products of construction machinery for Venezuela’s housing project. The event has been broadcast live by Venezuela’s national television station. Through several rounds of talks, XCMG has finally won the largest export order of China’s construction machinery industry through whole-series and integrated construction machinery advantages, profound brand image and reliable quality, and strong manufacturing and maintenance capability in the industry.
In terms of amount and products number of single order, the overall 6,025 units of construction machinery produced by XCMG to Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela have not only been the exclusive one of China’s construction machinery export and the market worldwide, but also set a precedent of the sole production of China’s large-scale manufacturing corporate group and the independent operation of integrated construction machinery large exporting project.

The project of XCMG has covered various categories in the construction machinery, including construction crane, shovel transport machinery, road construction and maintenance machinery, road surface and compacting machinery, concrete machinery, piling machinery, heavy trucks and other vehicles for special purposes. The first batch of 790 units worth of 56 million USD, having all passed the inspection by the third party at present, have been transported successively to ports for shipping on June 15 and delivered to Venezuela on June 21.
