YSIP inaugurated in Bobai, first group of projects settle in

On the morning of June 23, Yuchai Supporting Industry Park (YSIP) was inaugurated in Bobai, Guangxi, opening a new chapter of the cooperation between Yuchai and Bobai in industrial development. Wen Daqin, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yulin Municipal Committee and secretary of the CPC Bobai County Committee, together with Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group, inaugurated YSIP. Gu Tangsheng, president of Yuchai Group, announced the launch of the first group of settled projects.

Xie Yuqiang, vice president of Yuchai Group, introduced the situation of YSIP. Leaders of the county committee, government, people's congress and CPPCC committee and leaders of relevant departments, leaders of Yuchai's relevant departments and subsidiaries, persons in charge of the first group of settled projects, as well as representatives of students of Yuchai Vocational Technical School (YVTS) were present.

Located in Bobai East Industrial Zone, with an area of about 7,500 mu and a total investment of about RMB 7.5 billion, YSIP will be planned and constructed based on the orientation of "a center, three focuses and five functions"--centering on serving and matching Yuchai's core industries, focusing on the development of three industries: engine parts, vocational and technical education, and new energy and new materials, and striving to build an ecological supporting industry park integrating five functions including manufacture, skill training, warehousing and leasing, venture capital investment, and trade and tourism.

With a construction period of five years, YSIP will be constructed in three phases: with a planned area of 3,000 mu, 3,000 mu and 1,500mu, the three phases will last from 2011 to 2012, from 2013 to 2014 and in 2005 respectively. The park is expected to achieve an output value of over RMB 10 billion by the end of the twelfth five-year period, thus leaping into the "10-billion camp".

According to Yan, Yuchai has made great progress in recent years and had completed the group's restructuring by the end of the eleventh five-year period. The Party committee and people's government of the autonomous region also attached great importance by listing Yuchai as a 100-billion enterprise project under the overall arrangement of the autonomous region. By the end of the twelfth five-year period, the group's business scale will amount to RMB 100 billion. To accomplish the scale, strategic redeployment must be conducted. So far, we have completed the construction of strategic bases in Zhuhai of Guangdong, Jining of Shandong, Haihong and Taizhou of Zhejiang, Wuhu of Anhui, Changzhou and Suzhou of Jiangsu, Dalian of Liaoning, Ziyang and Luzhou of Sichuan, and Tianjin, has established strategic bases in Beihai, Nanning, Liuzhou and other places of Guangxi, and has established Yuchai Industry Park in Yulin. YSIP is exactly a supporting industry park established by Yuchai based on its industry advantage and brand advantage as well as Bobai's resource advantage, with the aim of sustaining its strategic development. It is believed that with the strong support of the county committee and government, a great breakthrough will be made in YSIP's construction. We will repay the county committee, government and people of Bobai with outstanding business performance.

YSIP's construction will not only play a significant role in supporting the accomplishment of Yuchai's strategic objective of building a group with an annual output value of RMB 100 billion in the twelfth five-year period, but also serve as an engine for the rapid economic development of Bobai. Wen said, YSIP's inauguration is a major breakthrough in Bobai's industrial development, in the future, the county committee and government will value YSIP's construction as an important task to offer strong support.

The first group of settled projects include the Bobai campus of YVTS, the Bobai training base of Yuchai, the resin project and the oil pipeline manufacturing project of Yujia, have a total investment of RMB 965 million, and have created a favorable situation for the construction of YSIP and the future settlement of more projects.

We strongly believe that on strength of Yuchai's industry advantage and brand advantage, with the strong support of Bobai's preferential policies and leaders at all levels, more projects will settle in YSIP and project will grow better and better.
