China's First Light Emergency Rescue Vehicle Receives National Approval

Recently, Zoomlion Lifting Machinery Company's QUY800, the largest crawler crane by tonnage to be exported from China in 2013, garnered rave reviews for its performance in the construction of the Kahak Wind Farm in Takistan, a key national project of Iran.
Due to it having the tallest crane jib and largest tonnage back then, construction operators and end users from across Iran flocked to see the QUY800 crane in action. At the construction site, the QUY800 completed the installation operations with high quality, performance and efficiency, helping to ease the pressure on power supply at Tehran, the capital city of Iran.
The project involved the installation of wind turbines, each consisting of a tower, rotor, blades and nacelle. The heaviest component of the turbine is the top section of the tower, which weighs more than 30 tons. The total weight of the turbine is over 350 tons.
Iran sits on a plateau, giving it abundant wind resources. This was an important consideration for the implementation of the wind power project. However, it also increased the complexity of the installation operation. The tower of each turbine is made up of five sections. After they have been fitted together, the nacelle must be installed at the top of the tower within a certain period of time. Otherwise, constant wind may cause the tower to tilt and bend. The turbines are almost 100 meters tall. The high altitude, strong winds and heavy lifting mass meant that on average, the installation time for each turbine was over a month. These imposed stringent requirements on the capability and performance of the lifting equipment. The QUY800 crawler crane uses a 108 meter long main jib and seven meter long extension that is specially designed for wind turbine installation. Currently, more than 10 turbines have been successfully installed.
