On April 11, 19 government officials from developing nations visited Shantui as part of a seminar organized by China's Machinery and Electronics Products Import and Export Chamber of Commerce. The visit began with a tour of Shantui's bulldozer assembly plant, undercarriage parts factory, road roller factory, and corporate showroom. The tour was followed by a detailed introduction to Shantui's international marketing division by Vice General Manager Mr. Wang Feng, and a presentation on Shantui's R&D capabilities by the Vice President of Shantui's R&D Center, Mr. Han Jibin. The presentations gave the seminar participants a detailed look into Shantui's product lines, sales model, future development plans, and overall corporate profile.
Participants in the seminar represented the economic ministries of developing nations across Africa and the Middle East. Co-sponsored by the International Business Officials Training Institute, the program aimed to promote knowledge of the heavy machinery industry through the study of manufacturers such as Shantui, and to aid the participating nations in advancing their own economic development models. Shantui has long had a friendly trade relationship with developing nations, and hopes to foster further dialogue in hopes of stronger and mutually beneficial relationship between China and the emerging nations of the world.
