The event was rolled out by Shantui's Cambodian dealer, The Cambodia Machinery Group Co. Ltd. (CMC). The host, Mr. Yang Baifeng, owner of CMC, first presided over opening ceremonies and ribbon cuttings at his dealership location. Those festivities were followed by an evening banquet at the Sofitel Hotel. Mr. Yang put out all the stops to make for a brilliant event.
Also in attendance were Mr. Cheng Zhaohong, Shantui Import & Export Co. general manager, and the head of sales in the region, Mr. Wang Feng. In his keynote address, Mr. Cheng related how pleased Shantui is to have such a powerful business and industry group behind the Shantui brand in Cambodia. "Our CMC partners in Cambodia have both the passion and the wherewithal to make great inroads in Cambodia's rapidly evolving domestic economy. The nation is poised for substantial infrastructural development, and we are ready to serve those needs," he said.
The dealership had its full line up of Shantui machines on display, ranging from Shantui's market leading bulldozers to its graders, wheel loaders, excavators, rollers and a host of other road machinery and concrete handling machinery.
Shantui is well-positioned to ride the wave of upcoming development not only in Cambodia, but Southeast Asia in general. CMC is a major player in Cambodia both within industry and government circles when it comes to construction and development matters. If the star-studded opening event is any indication, Shantui and CMC will share a bright future in Cambodia.
