Liebherr to unveil two new compact loaders at bauma 2013

Two new Liebherr compact loaders, which will be on show for the first time at bauma 2013, have been nominated as finalists in the design category at the Bauma Innovation Awards.

The other nominated products are the Kaiser Walking Mobile Excavator 2013, built by Kaiser AG Fahrzeugwerk, and Wacker Neuson's new EH 100 demolition breaker.

The new loader models, L 506 C und L 508 C, represent an entirely new machine concept, said Liebherr. Both models are low height, (less than 2.5m), meaning a lower centre of gravity. Its tipping load limit and stability, even on uneven surfaces, are higher.

"The well-matched relationship between operating weight and tipping load is another productivity bonus for these machines,' said Liebherr.

Other design advancements include a large cabin front-window for improved operator visibility, and the conical-pattern lifting gear is designed to further improve visibility.

The L506 C Compact Loader weighs 5,180kg, has a tipping load of 3,450 kg, a standard 0.8 m³ bucket, and is powered by a 45kW diesel engine.

With an operating weight of 5,600 kilograms, the L 508 C Compact Loader has a tipping load of 3,850 kg. It has a 1.0 m³ standard bucket and a 49 kW (67 hp) diesel engine.
