On February 28, 2008, Sany held the 2008 Report Meeting on Business Plan and Five-Year Plan. The Sany Five-Year Plan explicitly propose the business strategic objective of "a scale of over 100 million to accomplish internationalized Sany", the vision of "growing into the outstanding equipment leader and a global respectable enterprises" and the mission of "quality changes the world".

Open full-circulation era, pledge a renewed two-year lockup of shares

On June 17, the date of beginning of the era of full circulation of the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges, as the first real full-circulated stock, Sany Heavy Industry held the press conference to enormously heighten the threshold of reduction. Its major shareholder Sany pledged a voluntarily renewed two-year lockup from June 19 of its 518.126188 million shares of Sany Heavy Industry on which a ban was lifted on June 17; and it would not reduce its shares of Sany Heavy Industry through the secondary market if the price of secondary market of the shares of Sany Heavy Industry was lower than twice the closing price (55.76 yuan/share) on June 16 within two years as of June 17.

Plunge into forefront of snowstorm and quake relief, fulfill social responsibility

In the once-in-a-century snowstorm in South China in January 2008, Sany Heavy Industry donated 3 million yuan and dispatched 24 graders to the Beijing-Zhuhai Highway. After ten days and ten nights of efforts, the highway was open to traffic. After the Wenchuan earthquake in May, Sany promptly donated18 million yuan, marshaled equipment, sent staff for quake relief, and made an additional donation in support of post-disaster reconstruction.

Introduce Six Sigma management, reform on lean manufacturing reform

To achieve the objective of 100 billion, in April, Sany, driven by management innovation, introduced the advanced corporate management method-Six Sigma management. A constantly improved culture came into being in the company. Subsequently, Sany, guided by the idea of "lean manufacturing", put into full swing manufacturing reform, eliminated waste and strive to explore a production mode with Sany's features-SPS.

On April 4, the media interview group for independent innovation of China's construction machinery industry, made up of central key and professional media like People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, Guangming Daily and CCTV, paid a visit to Sany for a comprehensive and in-depth coverage of the theme of "independent innovation of China's construction machinery industry".

Literature and Research introduces Sany's innovation experience

Following the introduction of Sany's Party building in Qiushi, a journal run by the CPC Central Committee in February 2008, the Literature and Research run by the Party Literature Research Center of the CPC Central Committee took Sany for example in September, studied the development of the construction machinery industry in Hunan, and introduced Sany’s experience in the development of independent innovation.

Liang Wengen raises new requirements for Sany's Party building

In October, Liang Wengen, deputy to the Seventeenth National People's Congress of the CPC and chairman of Sany Heavy Industry, came up with new requirements, stating that Sany should steadily carry out Party building to explore a new path for the development of Party building of private enterprises.

Sany's CYL Committee established as largest CYL committee of private enterprises in Hunan and the industry

On March 18, the 1st CYL Congress of Sany Group Co., Ltd. was held successfully, through which all agendas were rounded off, and 17 members of Sany's first Communist Youth League (CYL) Committee with Liang Yezhong as secretary were selected. Sany's YLC, with nearly 7,000 members, is the largest CYL committee of private enterprises in Hunan Province and China's construction machinery industry.
