Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger: Huge Halls and a Hotel

At the Sany-construction on Bedburg’s industrial area “Mühlenerft” huge production halls and a hotels especially for Sany workers arising. The production of cranes and concrete pumps shall start in this summer.

Bedburg – The work of the first construction section are in its final throes and the outer shell of the 10.000 m² huge production hall, close to the street L 213 is already finished. The big logo of the Chinese company and the slogan “Quality changes the World” is visible since weeks. All together 120 workers making sure that the production of the machines can start in summer this year.
 

The hall consists of three big parts, each 24 x 136 meters big and approx. 16 meters high, explains project manager Martin Smik. To move heavy loads up to 10 tons three gantry cranes are fixed at the ceiling of each part of the hall. Everywhere in the hall contacts to pressurized air are available to supply compress-air devices. The hall will be heated by big radiators also fixed at the ceiling. Soon big truck mounted concrete pumps are going to be produced here in Bedburg, which are necessary to build up high-rise buildings and skyscrapers. Some are 37 or 42 meters high and are going to be in application in Germany and Europe. The bigger models, up to 62 meters are in application in the USA and in Asia.
 

Additionally to the first section of construction belong the hotel and the building for offices and company restaurant, located in the background of the construction site. Here visitors and employees will sleep who are going to stay just a few weeks or months in Bedburg. Due to the fact that the staff is mainly German and Chinese the food will be European and Chinese style. It is clear to start with the second section of construction soon. It is located exactly between the first hall and the hotel. A painting hall and a Research & Development Centre are going to be established there. The numbers of employees was increasing permanently in the last months. “Currently 150 people are working for Sany and monthly we are getting more” explains Sany Press Manager Christiane Linkenbach. Sany intends to employ up to 600 people.
 

All together Sany has invested 100 Million Euros at “Mühlenerft” after finalizing the first and section sections of construction. This investment would enlarge in case of realizing a third construction section. Space is already available. It is located just beside the buildings of the hotel and offices. Here a further hall of 10.000 m² would exist where cranes could be produced. But there is no decision taken yet and depends to the market of construction machines.
 

All together 120 workers handled 1150 tons of steel. But also the streets on the ground taking form – currently a ring is going to be built up. If Sany starts with the third section of construction the Chinese company would have covered 250.000 m² with buildings.
