Friend from Japan Visited Sany

April 15th, an unexpected guest visited Office of Publicity, Sany Heavy Industry. The man was in his 50s and looked healthy and friendly and to some extent a bit excited. “I happen to be on my trip to Changsha, so I decide to visit Sany and express my thanks” he smiled after telling us his purpose for this visit. 

His name was Fukuhara. During the interview, he told us that he saw the news about Sany’s support for Fukushima crisis on television and was deeply moved. Then he started searching information related to Sany on Internet and found a thanks letter from AKEUCHI Yasuo, Fukuoka. That was when he decided to pay a visit to Sany during his trip to Changsha.   

Mr. Fukuhara used to work in Shanghai. After his retirement he returned Japan. He told us that there had been many misunderstandings between Japanese and Chinese and Sany’s support during this crisis would certainly make more Japanese understand China better.

“There is friendship between Japanese and Chinese people. However, it needs the love and care from both countries to make it grow” he said.

Mr. Fukuhara’s residence is far from the disastrous area and his life is not affected too much by the disaster. During the interview, Mr. Fukuhara even showed some pictures of the cherry trees near his house to us. He wished he could see the blossom cherry again in the stricken area.
