Over the past decade of the internationalization process, Sany has made its presence felt in the global market. One of the reasons for this is its excellent customer service. Every year, Sany will put 3%-5% of its sales revenue into service resources construction and management innovations. It has set up service offices in nearly 100 countries and regions; more than 1,000 professional service engineers are on 24-hour standby to solve technical problems for customers. As for the spare parts supply system, warehouses at headquarters in China, regional central warehouses and secondary warehouses are all established to constitute a three-grade spare parts supply system, which stocks over 100 million USD worth of more than 50,000 types of spare parts.
At present, Sany has 71 service centres in 58 countries, and it plans to set up more service centres in the future, so that each piece of Sany equipment is not more than one day’s drive away from the closest service centre. When service capabilities are further improved, Sany will gradually hand over service provision to its dealers, and let dealers benefit from providing services.
In the copper mine accident which took place in San Jose, Chile in October 2010, a 400t Sany crawler crane was chosen by the Chilean government as the only piece of large-size construction equipment to participate in the rescue operation. This decision drew wide attention from the construction machinery industry and aroused the interest of the European and American media. From this, we can discern that local dealers should be aware of events happening in their immediate locality and which may greatly influence society. Dealers should seek to actively involve themselves, especially where Sany’s equipment could be used to help create a positive public image and earn a high-standing reputation for Sany.
