SANY Products Sell Well in the New Year

“Happy New Year!” The boring machine operator Bo Hou from the Concrete Machinery BU greeted his colleagues on the first day after the Spring Festival. On hearing that they should work two shifts everyday from that day on, he went to check the schedule. “We have received so many orders just on the first day after the holiday. It must be a fruitful year.” He talked hilariously to his colleagues.

Bo Hou was right. In January, 2013, international sales of the Road Machine BU created a new record in 5 years. On January 23rd, SANY Heavy Machinery held its first trade fair. On the fair, SANY’s excavators were so popular with the customers that 1,600 units were ordered on site, which refreshed the record in trade fairs held in the excavator industry. On February 15th, 100 units of equipments from SANY were unloaded at the Bangkok Laem Chabang Port in Thailand. The next day, 7 units of SANY double-box forklifts won the bid of Port Swettenham in Malaysia. It was estimated that orders of excavators alone exceeded 1 billion yuan.

New Products Welcomed by Customers 
SANY’s Technology Leads the Industry

Like Bo Hou, Zhaogang Duan, a welder from Car Frame Manufacturing Center of SANY Heavy Machinery, also felt “overwhelmed with work” in this new year. He was very proud of the fact that the company ranked first in sales in China’s excavator market. On hearing that 2,000 equipments had been ordered on the first trade fair held by SANY Heavy Machinery, he was excited: “The C9 series excavators are popular with customers and has received a lot of orders. And we feel so encouraged by the good news.”

The C9 series excavator Zhaogang Duan talked about is a new product of the company. According to the Research Institute of SANY Heavy Machinery, this series has made a great breakthrough in terms of energy-saving, high performance, and reliability. Thus the product features low fuel consumption, long working hours, high working performance, long life span and good environment adaptation.
 

Besides SANY Heavy Machinery, many other BUs of SANY Group have also launched their new products. This year, the Concrete Machinery BU launched the C8 series pump truck. This new product was developed together by Chinese and German companies, which borrowed heavily advanced technology from Putzmeister. “This series of pump truck processes 8 core technologies including boom one-key-location technology, smart boom vibration reduction technology, energy-saving technology, automatic fault diagnosis technology,” said Youyi Wang, president of the Research Institute of Concrete Machinery BU. The new concrete machines produced by SANY in 2013 have already had a good market position in Jiangsu and Guangdong Province.
 

Other products like SANY paver and asphalt mixing plant also sold quite well. Moreover, the fifth generation paver launched by SANY Road Machinery enjoys strong driving force, high working performance, low fuel consumption, low noise and low discharge, which is the best in China.
 

“SANY’s paver is equipped with a blade with larger diameter and coarse pitch as well as the stable material-separating helix with low operating speed. It has also solved the material separating problems during operation. This new product not only operates fast but also works in a stable manner.” Mr. Zhou, a customer from Yunnan Province, expressed his appreciation of this new SANY paver.
 

“The products’ good market position indicates that the technology and performance of SANY’s equipments have satisfied the expectations of the customers.” After analyzing the reasons of SANY products’ success, some experts said that companies attach more and more importance to new and advanced technology due to fiercer competition. Again, SANY becomes the leader in the construction machinery industry.
 

Construction Machinery Industry Forecasts Steady Growth
3 Core Competitiveness Conducive to SANY’s Development

“This year, the market will keep a steady growth,” commented experts regarding the construction machinery market in 2013.

Weici Cai, the vice chairman of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association agreed with this. He thought there were two advantages for the development of the industry this year. Firstly, the macro economy has started to bounce back from the recession. It is expected that the domestic consumption market is likely to keep a stable growth, so does the investment situation. Thus, the recovery of domestic market demand is highly possible to happen.

Secondly, the policy environment has been in favor of the development of the construction machinery industry. Recently, the Central Economic Working Conference has decided that the keynote of economic policy is “make progress while ensuring stability”. At the conference some consensus regarding economic development has been reached: monetary policy should be made conducive to the expansion of social financing scale, the rise of credit line as well as the reduction of financing cost.

Zhengming Bu, assistant to head of the department of marketing of SANY Heavy Machinery said to the reporter that the excavator market will start to revive in 2013, and the competition will transit from middle and small-scale excavators market to larger-scale excavator market. Meanwhile, the domestic excavator industry will keep a stable growth. This year, foreign brands represented by Komastsu will also strive for the market share, thus the domestic companies should continue to develop new technology and strengthen their core competitiveness.
