Yuchai's 60th anniversary celebration enters countdown

Six decades! This year marks Yuchai 60th anniversary and a significant milestone in Yuchai development history. A celebration is scheduled to be held in Yuchai head office from December 17 to 18. To ensure the orderly progressing of all celebratory activities, on September 16, Yuchai held a rally meeting at Power Building. At the meeting, Chairman Yan Ping delivered a mobilizing speech, requiring celebration preparations should be organized elaborately and arranged carefully to bring staff together internally and expand influence externally. 

President Gu Tangsheng presided over the meeting. Deputy Party Secretary Guo Deming reported preliminary preparations and arranged next-step work. Wu Qiwei, general manager of YM, raised further requirements for preparatory work.       

Since launching preparations for the 60th anniversary celebration, Yuchai has advanced preparatory work in a steady and orderly manner and made staged achievements. The first three stages of the overall plan of the celebration, namely prelude, inspiration and cultivation, have basically been completed, and preparatory work is about to switch to the stage of climax, namely celebration. Major preliminary work completed include publishing the celebration logo, delivering the release ceremony and seminar for China Power, holding the enior Seminar on State-owned Enterprise Reform and Yuchai Innovation Practice? in combination with China Economic System Reform, preliminarily completing the design rendering of the thematic exhibition hall for Yuchai 60th anniversary, completing the creation of lyrics of Yuchai Suite, etc. As the celebration draws closer, preparatory work has entered the countdown stage. The meeting required that coordination be strengthened and cooperation be cemented according to the overall plan of the celebration, with a high sense of responsibility and mission, to fully and effectively advance the preparatory work of the celebration.  

The celebration is a great event for all the staff of Yuchai in their lives, said Yan in the mobilizing speech. In 2001, Yuchai 50th anniversary celebration produced far-reaching impact in Yulin and the industry. Over the decade, Yuchai has changed significantly from an enterprise with annual operating revenues of less than RMB 10 billion into an enterprise with annual operation revenues of more than RMB 30 billion. We aim to take this year celebration to show our image and development trend to the world, carry forward our spirit, bright together our staff and encourage them to work hard towards of the grand welfth five-year? goal.  

Also, Yan analyzed Yuchai current situation, raising hope and requirements for the business bodies of Yuchai, YM and all subsidiaries, noting, chieving sales revenues of RMB 40 billion is the best gift for the 60th anniversary?. 

The annual marketing conference, the supplier conference and the internal combustion engine summit will be concurrent with the celebration, bringing together galaxies of guests and elite, said Wu Qiwei. As the core unit of Yuchai and the main organizer of the celebration, YM shoulders a heavy duty, should attach great importance and make elaborate arrangements to deliver a distinctive and high-caliber event, turning over a new page for Yuchai development together with all Yuchai partners.
