Yuchai holds donation ceremony for "Spring Bud Program" 2011 as part of anniversary celebration

"If everyone offers a bit of love, the world will become much more better." On December 19, in the rhythm filled with love, the donation ceremony for Yuchai "Spring Bud Program" 2011 was held at Yuchai Culture Center. Yang Qiao, vice chairman of Yulin Women's Federation; Meng Shaoquan, deputy director-general of Yulin Education Bureau; leaders of Yuchai Group including deputy Party Secretary Li Tiansheng and Guo Deming, and Guan Min were present. Liang Ping, chairman of the Labor Union of Yuchai Group, presided over the ceremony. Among some 450 were Yuchai staff, "Spring Bud" girls and journalists above the city level.

At the ceremony, Li, on behalf of Yuchai, handed a plaque representing a donation of RMB 150,000 to the representative of the municipal women's federation. 51 Spring Bud girls from different counties and districts of Yulin, on behalf of 500 "Spring Bud" girls, received the money and supplies from Yuchai. 　

"In the future, we will proceed with the ‘Spring Bud Program' to make ‘spring buds' blossom with our love," said Li in a speech, adding Yuchai has always attached great importance to the "Spring Bud Program" and has received positive response from all leaders and staff since its launch in 2006, now, it has become a public benefit activity with the extensive participation of Yuchai's leaders and staff and a platform for them to offer love for the society. Hopefully, supported students will bear correct study attitude, master study methods, carry forward pioneering spirit, overcome difficulties, study hard, be inquisitive, live up to donators' expectations, repay the society with outstanding academic results and shape their lives with good morality. 　

Yang said, Yuchai has financed 3,865 Spring bud girls in Yulin over the six years, showing Yuchai offers love, spreads love and bear social responsibility. Yuchai's love action will set a good example in the city and arouse more people to join the love cause to help more girls. 　

Meng said, the donation shows Yuchai performs social responsibility by actual deeds to reduce the burden of the government. Yuchai is not only quality-oriented, but also responsible; Yuchai belongs not only to its staff, but also to everyone, to Yulin's people, to the society and to the nation. 　

Chen Meirong from Dali No. 1 High School, Beiliu, spoke on behalf of "Spring Bud" girls, "I have been longing for a university, but felt my future is dim in the face of poverty. It was Yuchai's uncles and aunts that offered hands to create a favorable study environment for me. We are unfortunate, but are fortunate to have met them."

Also, a "Hand in Hand" paring activity between Yuchai staff and supported students was launched at the conference. 51 staff members and representatives of 51 "Spring Bud" girls concluded support agreements, laying the groundwork for future direct contact between donators and recipients. 　

The faces of the supported girls brimmed with smiles. On the occasion of Yuchai's 60th anniversary, they also brought birthday gifts to "Yuchai mother": 51 "Spring Bud" girls recited a poem in chorus to thank Yuchai for their permanent support and wish Yuchai a brighter future.  　

Before the ceremony, Yuchai organized the 51 "Spring Bud" girls to visit the exhibition hall for Yuchai's 60th anniversary. The girls observed engines joyfully and curiously and touch them every now and then. In front of a high rotary drilling rig exhibited by Yuchai Heavy Industry Company Limited, two girls jumped to match the machine.
