Yuchai thoroughly carries out CSR work

On February 13, headed by Zhang Junfeng, deputy director of the International Labor and Information Research Institute of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MOHRSS), a delegation of three members visited Yuchai to survey its CSR work and offer guidance on CSR report formulation.

During discussing with some high and middle-level cadres of Yuchai, Zhang introduced the role of Social Responsibility Guide (ISO26000) in enterprise guidance and its basic content, as well as the support of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for CSR fulfillment in China. Zhang called on Yuchai to map out a CSR strategy to enhance corporate soft strength. Ma Yongtang, director of the International Labor and Information Research Institute of MOHRSS, interpreted the new concept of "green employment" and hoped Yuchai will be a pilot entity. 　

Yuchai's attending leaders introduced new CSR highlights of respective entities, such as technical innovation, the project of improving quality by 50%, enormous decrease in rejection rates of casting, wide applications of ergonomics in production, lean manufacturing and replacement of boilers with heat pumps. All these drew attention from Zhang and other experts.

Yuchai will release its fifth CSR report Yuchai's Sustainable Development in 2011 this year. The survey will run till February 17, during which experts will find out Yuchai's new moves and highlights in the process of fulfilling social responsibility in forms such as discussion, seminar and site survey. Survey results will be demonstrated in Yuchai's Sustainable Development in 2011 to be released this May.
