Yuchai creates safe speed for Thai customers

The traffic safety of tour buses has garnered increasingly close attention. Due to the prevailing habit of fast drive among local drivers, vehicle speed may reach up to 140km/h, 120km/h above the prescribed safety speed. This has led to a lot of tourist complaints to passenger transport companies and serious traffic accidents, making it necessary to limit the speed of tour buses to ensure tourist safety. By technical means, Yuchai has created safe speed for vehicles to ensure tourist safety and help customers create safe and comfortable for tourists. Customers are much satisfied with Yuchai's response and assistance.

Hongtong, a customer of Sunlong Bus, is a large travel bus rental company in Thailand, mainly provides travel transport services for Thailand. The company purchased 85 YC 6L330-30 tour buses in 2011 and has owned a total of 155 Sunlong buses, all of which carry 6L330-30, 6L330-20 and 4G180-20 engines, thus becoming a loyal customer of Sunlong and Yuchai in Thailand. The company attaches great importance to the drive safety of tour buses.

In July 2012, Hongtong made a request to Yuchai office for limiting the speed of 85 6L330-30 buses within 120km/h. The office responded fast by providing vehicle data to the headquarters, applying for the procedures for speed limitation, communicating with the customer actively and testing one of the tour buses. The test results showed the bus had fully met the customer's requirement for a maximum speed of 120km/h, without degrading power performance. From July 13, the office began to download the speed limitation procedures for all vehicles, opening a new chapter in Yuchai's efforts to create safe speed in Thailand.

Tour buses play a vital role in travel transport services in Thailand, and the market is a sector of strategic importance to all bus makers. To further occupy the market and develop competitive edge, Yuchai office has kept close contact with bus makers and customers in terms of presale and after-sale services and training. The office invited Hongtong to the 1st Euro III technical training in Thailand in 2011. The two sides conducted effective exchanges and reached many consensuses in marketing and services, laying a solid foundation for further cooperation.
