Yuchai's 60th anniversary opens with supplier seminar

On the afternoon of December 16, Yuchai Machinery Suppliers Seminar was held at the meeting room on the fourth floor of Power Building, opening Yuchai's 60th celebration.

Among attendees were corporate leaders including Chairman Yan Ping, General Manager Wu Qiwei, Deputy General Manager Chen Ningbin, Chief Economist Wang Wei, Chief Engineer Lin Zhiqiang and Chief Quality Assurance Engineer Tan Guirong of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM); Shen Jie, chief engineer of Yuchai Group; as well as representatives of Yuchai's 16 suppliers including Nanyue Fuel Injection Systems Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Yinlun Machinery Co., Ltd., ASIMCO Meilian Braking Systems (Langfang) Co., Ltd., Honeywell Automotive Parts Co., Ltd., Guilin Fuda Crankshaft Co., Ltd. and Prestolite Electric (Beijing) Limited. 　

As an important part of Yuchai Machinery Suppliers Conference 2012, the seminar will discuss existing problems of Yuchai's supplier system and work out countermeasures.    

Yan listened to the supplier representatives' speeches carefully and agreed with their opinions and suggestions. The corporate senior management has always valued supplier system construction, and has frequently stressed full consideration should be given to suppliers' interest and suppliers' interest should be treated equally with corporate interest in such aspects as product design and matching quota, said Yan. He pledged that Yuchai is capable of constructing management and service systems perfectly, will share systems and resources for common progress, and all corporate departments should raise the sense of responsibility, solicit suppliers' opinions modestly, work out improvement measures as soon as possible in regard to suppliers' opinions and suggestions, and strengthen team building to ensure the implementation of all improvement measures; and should advance the construction of the optimal supply system as soon as possible to build the core competitiveness of the supply chain. 　　

Wu introduced YM's new vision of "building the world's most competitive and professional engine supplier", and communicated with the suppliers in sales and highlights in the first 11 months of 2011. He required that all suppliers should stick together with Yuchai, further deepen traditional friendship, treat each other with sincerity, tide over difficulties, uphold the spirit of "professionalism, lean, collaboration and win-win" and seek common development. 　

At the seminar, the supplier representatives exchanged views with Yuchai on such aspects as quality problem solution, product development and parts matching, establishing an open mode of joint development, service outlet construction, information process and resource sharing. Supplier representatives, including Fan Jiang, chairman of YC Supplier Federation and chairman of Nanyue Fuel Injection Systems Co., Ltd., offered precious opinions and suggestions on management system construction, service system construction and product quality improvement. Xu Xiaomin, chairman of Zhejiang Yinlun Machinery Co., Ltd., said, Yuchai's practice of bringing together suppliers to discuss problems arising in the year on an annual basis is beneficial for Yuchai and its suppliers to make more effective communication to resolve problems practically and will shore up cooperation confidence and expand the scope of cooperation if the practice continues. All the suppliers pledged to strengthen respective equipment construction and establish "Yuchai-specific lines" to offer Yuchai better products and services.
