Zhu Chaoxia surveys Yuchai's gas engine project

On February 17, the first working day after the Spring Festival, Zhu Chaoxia, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yulin Municipal Committee and executive vice mayor of Yulin City, headed for the laboratory of Yuchai R & D Center to survey gas engine bench construction and Phase 2 of the gas engine project. Liang Qingyan, deputy general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (Yuchai) and the relevant leaders of Yuchai Industry Park accompanied Zhu.

Zhu first visited the gas engine test bench in the laboratory of Yuchai R & D Center. In the just-completed test shop, Phase 1 of the gas engine project, machines were booming. In 2012, Yuchai took the opportunity of the rise of the gas engine market, tightened R & D and quality control, developed the market successfully and led the industry in gas engine production and sales. The gas engines on the market have switched to National V standards in accordance with state regulations in January 2013, but the demand remains robust. Yuchai has gone all-out in R & D and production to meet the market fever.

Liang reported to Zhu the make-to-order production of gas engines this year, saying Yuchai's products are in short supply, making it urgent to accelerate gas engine R & D, testing and production. Yuchai has placed Phase 2 of the gas engine project on agenda and is striving to launch the phase and make it come on stream as soon as possible to meet customer demands, he added.

Zhu inquired into product testing at a gas engine test bench. Seeing the large-power marine gas engine test shop in Phase 1 has gone into operation, he was delighted and praised the planning of Yuchai's gas engine project. She said, Yuchai should grasp the segments of marine engine and gas engine, cement cooperation with large-sized domestic and foreign enterprises, and raise its business level. Also, she voiced her view on the issue of land use for Phase 1 of the gas engine project, pledging full support to the project.
