Yan Ping maps out new mission of Yuchai--Making partner and public trust more valuable

At the conference in commemoration of Yuchai's 60th anniversary on December 18, Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group, delivered a speech entitled New Mission, New Journey, New Success. In the speech, he reviewed Yuchai's brilliant history and achievements over the six decades, mapped out Yuchai's new mission of making partner and public trust more valuable. This is Yuchai's development orientation in the new historical period, its solemn commitment to partners, the public and the society, the meaning of its existence and its pursuit, as well as its resolution to be a national pride.

Yan said the "partners" in "making partner and public trust more valuable" includes all the staff of Yuchai related by blood, which came together due to trust in Yuchai and devoted their youth and talent to Yuchai's growth; includes partners pulling together in times of trouble, which join hands for common development and win-win; and includes nature closely related to humans, from which Yuchai ceaselessly absorbs primary sources and continuously outputs resources to create new value for the human society. Yuchai is responsible for living in harmony with and permanently existing with nature. 　

The "public" not only includes those customers that directly or indirectly choose Yuchai's products or services, which trust Yuchai and are the foundation for Yuchai's existence and development, Yuchai is responsible for making them not regret for their choice; but also includes those that directly or indirectly support Yuchai's development, which recognize Yuchai, emerge as different roles at all stages of Yuchai and pull Yuchai through one difficulty after another at critical moments. 　

"Trust" is the common target of Yuchai's culture and strategy. Winning trust from partners and the public is the constant pursuit of Yuchai staff as well as Yuchai's solemn commitment to customers. Over the six decades, Yuchai has made unremitting efforts to build a more trustworthy Yuchai, advocated a series of concepts such as integrity orientation, responsibility first, sustained development, working in harmony, reliability and stability, excellence and innovation, and provided referable spiritual wealth to the human society. 　

"More valuable" is the destination of Yuchai's mission, Yuchai's existence and development is to better return "trust", and is reflected in providing a boundless platform for staff to scale the heights of their career, in fully tapping industrial potential, creating and sharing greater industrial value to benefit partners; in constantly increasing output input ratios of resources, maximizing benefits from nature, persisting in green development and sparing no efforts to protect the beautiful natural environment; in making unremitting innovation, constantly updating industrial standards, meeting and creating customer demands, and making customers expect much of Yuchai eternally; and in serving the country with industry, being the pride of the nation, actively repaying the society, and spurring more corporate citizens to benefit the public. 　　

Yan stressed Yuchai would intensify strategic planning based on its new mission, focus on resource guarantee, reform and innovation that support its objective of RMB 100 billion in the "twelfth five-year" period, further improve the capacity for independent innovation, intensify technical innovation and overcome core technical problems; and will speed up internationalization, pioneer the national industry, lead the world and straighten the back of the national industry with excellence. Yuchai's strategy may be generalized as "an orientation, exceeding 100 billion, globalized Yuchai and sustainable development". 　

"An orientation" refers to the strategic orientation of "two product chains and several industry clusters". Yuchai should ensure its sustained, rapid, healthy and coordinated development. The "two product chains" refer to engine chain and construction machinery chain. 　

"Exceeding 100 billion" means ensuring Yuchai achieves annual sales of more than RMB 100 billion to rank among 100-billion groups by late 2015. 

"Globalized Yuchai" means rapidly developing the international market with the business philosophy of "Excellent Quality, Globalized Yuchai" and the high quality of "China creation", accelerating globalization construction, and accomplishing brand, capital operation, product market, operation management and talent globalization. Yuchai's final vision is to build a world-famous brand, a large-sized multinational group and a world industrial pacesetter.  　

"Sustainable development" means that Yuchai should persist in the scientific outlook on development, actively transform the development mode, keep to the road of green industrial development and accomplish sustainable development and permanent business prosperity.

Yan noted Yuchai is standing at a solid base point that has gathered tremendous energy over the six decades, a new higher starting point, a starting point of leaping from 10 billion to 100 billion and navigating the world, a starting point of proceeding with innovation and reform. Thus, we should promote the great development of Yuchai with a strong sense of crisis and sense of responsibility, accomplish the great development of Yuchai with new mission, new journey, new success, fulfill the great development of Yuchai through grand strategic distribution, drive the great development of Yuchai with new leading independent innovation technologies, promote the great development of Yuchai through cultural self-improvement and ensure the great development of Yuchai with the distinct management mode of Yuchai. 　

Yan stressed, over the six decades, Yuchai has grown out of nothing into the back of the Chinese national industry and shouldered the heavy duty of invigorating the national industry. However, the trend of history is irresistible, in the new historical period, in the context of economic globalization, Yuchai should not settle for existing achievements, move forward slowly rather than stagnantly, must shoulder heavier responsibility for the country, must gain a foothold and more say on the international competition stage. We should take the opportunity of the 60th anniversary celebration to arouse morale, boost confidence, actively carry forward the fine culture of Yuchai, keep improving and fight toughly to achieve the grand goal of annual sales of RMB 100 billion and invigorate the national industry.
