Valuable "Apple", priceless care

Now, Yuchai has more than 100 senior technicians and some 1,000 technicians. In 2008, the first corporate technician association in Guangxi and the industry was founded in Yuchai, with Yan Ping as honorary chairman. It is well known that Yan always gives priority to Yuchai's technicians at Yuchai and values them as "treasure of Yuchai". 　

At the exhibition on new achievements of Yuchai's technicians on December 7, Yan met Liang Chunwei, a grey-haired electric engineering expert of Yuchai. Hearing Liang introduce his new R & D achievements confidently, moderately and skillfully, Yan felt a surge of gratitude and said emotionally to Liang, "You have been devoted to electric research all your life and made remarkable contributions to corporate development, so I will award you a computer, the best Apple by far. Now, only I use Apple Tablet in the company, I want you to share the same benefit."  　

The words are not public "improvisation" of a corporate leader but his great concern about technicians from deep inside and true quality, the longstanding habit and tradition of an enterprise, as well as the truest and simplest display of a culture. 　

Yuchai is the cradle of technicians. In 1970, Liang, upon graduation from the junior high school, came alone all the way from the provincial capital Nanning to Yulin to join Yuchai foundry workshop as an odd-job worker. Being obsessed with radio technology, despite low education, he excelled in radio after more than a decade of persevering and diligent research. With corporate development, Liang come into contact with strange numerical control technology, resolved numberless problems of numerical control equipment after two decades' exploration and practice, and became an outstanding electric engineering talent in the company. Now, he is known to all as an "electric engineering expert" or a "self-taught wizard". 　

Time flies. No pains, no gains. With great perseverance, indomitable will and stamina, honest and diligent Liang fought toughly in his field for decades, and made admiring achievements on the ordinary post. However, such a great person said calmly in an interview with Yuchai Constructors, "I don't know how to say, just turn to my students," at that, he got down to his work. 　

This is a life attitude of racing against time, a spirit of working selflessly and a noble sentiment of devotion. Liang is such a person. 　

"Facing such an honest, simple but distinguished senior technician, hearing him introduce his technical achievements elaborately, how could I remain unmoved?" said Yan. 　

Without the spirit of ensuring pains, how can they be so accomplished today? Without great affection for Yuchai, how could they stay at Yuchai for four decades? Without the great attraction of Yuchai's culture, how were they willing to devote their youth and intelligence to Yuchai? Without such lovely and respectable technicians, how to support Yuchai's grand strategy? Thinking of these, Yan became more and more respectful to the lovely "treasure of Yuchai". 　

As the famous Chinese saying goes, "Sharp edge of a sword comes out from grinding, and plum blossom's fragrance comes from the bitter cold", success comes from concentration and perseverance. Liang, undaunted, exploratory and motivated, is a model for Yuchai's technicians, as well as a good example for every staff of Yuchai, especially young graduates. Just as Yan said, Yuchai's technicians are "treasure of Yuchai". If Yuchai is said to have straightened the back of the national industry with its constant development over the six decades, it is no exaggeration that Yuchai's technicians have defended the outstanding quality of Yuchai. 　　

Yan said technicians are the most important backing for the fulfillment of Yuchai's strategy. Every product relies on our industrial workers. Without an outstanding technician team, a favorable business philopshy and a good system, our strategy will not be fulfilled. For these reasons, the company should care for those technicians that work diligently and make great contributions on ordinary posts, such as senior technicians like Liang Chunwei, Chen Jinyuan, Ling Zhiyong and Zeng Xianlin, and young technicians like Su Wei, Yang Wanye, Huang Wenyue and Mo Yulang. Leader care for technicians is a longstanding style of Yuchai. We will make technicians emit the most dazzling splendor on the stage of Yuchai full of opportunities and challenges. 　

Outstanding technicians will emerge endlessly after Liang, as Yuchai always upholds a humanistic concept of harmony, fosters a culture of loyalty, benevolence, collaboration and wellbeing, values talent respect, cherishing, training and motivation, and pursues the common development of staff and enterprise, thus accomplishing the "unity of staff and enterprise". In such an enterprise, whoever have professional skills will get opportunities to display their talent and gain recognition from the senior management after persevering efforts. Relations between staff and the enterprise are no longer simple labor relations, staff regards the enterprise as their family and the enterprise is proud of staff. Yuchai is a great family filled with the warmth of love. Liang received the Apple Tablet and replied, "I will work harder to make greater contributions to Yuchai." 

"This is a brief letter of reply but like a solemn and holy commitment. This is the sincere voice of a simple technician, which reverberates in my ears and warms my heart," said Yan excitedly. 　

An inspiring word and a heavy gift represent the understanding of, care for, support and respect to frontline workers from major corporate leaders including Yan, and reflect leaders' sincerity and resolution. This is good fortune of the enterprise and staff. 　

"Apple" is valuable despite high quality, but Yuchai's care is priceless.
