YTA holds quality, output & lean manufacturing rally

On the afternoon of March 7, more than 100 technician representatives from Yuchai's subsidiaries got together at the new workshop of the foundry for an oath-taking rally on quality improvement, output maintenance and lean manufacturing organized by Yuchai Technicians Association (YTA). Among attendees were Wu Qiwei, general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM); Li Tiansheng, Party secretary of YM; Liang Ping, chairman of the Labor Union of YM and Chen Jinyuan, president of YTA. 　

Facing the new task and mission for 2012, the technicians took an oath, "We will stick to the quality concept of ‘zero defect, zero tolerance', bring our high skills into full play, find problems in production, duly and effectively solve problems, tighten quality control, and fight a quality battle with iron will and iron hand." "We will, under the guidance of the lean concept, work in an all-round manner, improve quality and maintain growth, thus making new contributions to achieving the annual objective of RMB 46 billion." 

Wu presents pioneer flags to technician teams 　

In the activity, Wu presented pioneer flags to technical teams from foundry sector, internal combustion engine sector, mould maintenance sector and general sector, and delivered a speech. He said, in 2011, YM withstood market pressure and increased its market share by 1.05% despite a fall in sales. In the tougher situation this year, YM set an objective of 560,000 units. As the special geographical location has restricted Yuchai's exchanges and development, we must conduct lean manufacturing, improve quality, reduce cost and make fast response to the market in order to achieve the annual objective and the objective of 1.12 million units in the "twelfth five-year" period. He acknowledged the leading role of the activity in the company, and encouraged technician teams to should heavy duties and set due examples. 

YTA's president signs warranties with technician representatives 　

At the ceremony, technician representatives from foundry sector, internal combustion engine sector, mould maintenance sector and general sector made declarations and signed warranties with YTA's president. All technicians present signed the board of oaths and commitments, pledging to build high-caliber technical teams to promote Yuchai's development.
