Yuchai strives for autonomous region chairman quality award

Recently, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) has held a meeting on introducing new outstanding performance standards to strive for the autonomous region chairman quality award. Tan Guirong, chief quality assurance engineer of YM, presided over the meeting, elaborating on the setup, implementation and evaluation methods of the award.

According to sources, YM won the national quality award as early as in 2005, and enjoy its unique advantage in striving for the autonomous region chairman quality award this time. In recent years, Yuchai has earnestly implemented the national standard--GB/T19580 Outstanding Performance Evaluation Criterion, actively popularized advanced quality management methods and achieved remarkable quality benefit; has been up to advanced international standards in terms of diesel engine R & D technology and quality indicators, established an effective quality management system, formed a mechanism of continuous improvement, and achieved prominent effects in energy conservation, emission reduction and environmental protection.

Yuchai will conduct summarization and refining by combining its previous work with its current lean operation system under construction, to vie for the autonomous region chairman quality award with higher level, said Wu Qiwei, general manager of YM.

As China's largest diesel engine manufacturing base and Guangxi's leading machinery manufacturer, Yuchai enjoys prominent brand advantage, with its products known worldwide. The contention for the autonomous region chairman quality award is a review, refinement and upgrade of Yuchai's quality management work, which is of far-reaching significance to consolidating Yuchai's superiority among its counterparts inside and outside Guangxi, driving the rise of local industries and revitalizing national industry.
