Yuchai's technicians pledge all-round efforts to increase quality, maintain output

On March 7, at the 4F workshop of Engine Plant 2, nearly 200 technician representatives of Yuchai, at the company's call of deepening lean manufacturing, pledged resolution at a rally named "Fulfill Quality and Production Targets for 2013 & Lean Action", resolving to make all-out efforts to increase quality and maintain output to ensure the fulfillment of the targets for 2013.

Chen Jinyuan, chairman of Yuchai Technician Association (YTA), delivered a speech, calling on the technicians to take active part in the company's lean manufacturing, begin by eliminating waste and increasing benefit, and mobilize the workers around to create a lean atmosphere of "all participation, independent improvement". Additionally, he required the technicians to turn the solemn commitment into action by fulfilling tasks punctually and perfectly and making new achievements in innovation, benefit and quality, to make new contributions to fulfilling the quality and production targets for 2013.

Wu also delivered a speech. He said, Yuchai's invincible position in years of development has been attributable to its outstanding R & D team and marketing team, also we have a great industrial worker team and a skillful technician team. Amid the market slump in 2012, we increased our market share by 3 percent by practicing lean manufacturing, intensifying our internal efforts in segments and tightening quality control through technicians, thus gaining unanimous recognition from the board of directors. Due to the production mode of "multiple varieties, small batch, Yuchai is behind its key opponents in terms of refined production. He required the technicians to take an objective view of the gap, and seize the opportunity that the truck sector is about to fully enter the era of electronic control after the coach sector, to make up our deficiency in 12m coach and truck. He added, we will develop our commodity power, manufacturing power, marketing power and system power in coordination, the technician team plays a vital role in increasing manufacturing power, hopefully the technicians will work hard to increase the company's manufacturing power.
