Zoomlion Products Unveiled at FIA 2014

Recently, the 47th Foire Internationale d'Alger (FIA) was held at the Algiers International Exhibition Center. Zoomlion Concrete Machinery Company debuted a variety of products at the exhibition, which attracted a large number of overseas customers. 

The FIA is an annual event started by Société Algérienne des Foires et Exportations (SAFEX) in 1963, and it is known as North Africa's "Canton Fair." Zoomlion Concrete Machinery Company has attended the exhibition 7 years in a row. This year, the FIA was attended by more than 1,000 companies from 37 countries, including 17 Chinese construction machinery companies. 

After entering the North African market in 2007, Zoomlion, which is China's leading construction machinery manufacturer, quickly captured the hearts of local customers thanks to its quality products and efficient after-sales service, and the company became the favored high-tech equipment manufacturer in North Africa for key infrastructure construction, including building and energy project construction. In order to better respond to market demand, Zoomlion Concrete Machinery Company exhibited three types of concrete machinery at the event, including a concrete pump truck with a 38-meter boom and Mercedes-Benz chassis, a 9m³ truck-mounted mixer with a Shaanxi Auto chassis, and a portable concrete pump. These three types of concrete machinery are popular in the local market, and many customers inquired about them at the event. 

At present, housing projects in Algeria mainly consist of 6- to 8-story buildings. Zoomlion's agent in the region is also the agent for Shaanxi Automobile Group, so there are various plans to use Shaanxi Auto chassis for Zoomlion equipment, which will improve both company's position and has proved popular with local customers. The three types of concrete machinery exhibited at the event were completely designed to meet the needs of the Algerian market in terms of technical performance and product appearance. The products not only display Zoomlion's world-class technical capabilities, but reflect the importance the company places on customers in the Algerian market. 

In 2009 the Algerian Government set itself the target of building one million units of affordable housing within five years and to create a new Algeria for the people within a decade. As a result, the majority of Algerian construction companies are involved in construction projects, meaning they require a lot of construction machinery and equipment, and the market outlook is promising. During the exhibition, the team from Zoomlion Concrete Machinery Company received over 100 customers and carried out more than 60 negotiations with local customers and a dozen or so negotiations with Chinese-funded enterprises, and successfully signed part of a procurement contract during the exhibition.
