Yuchai receives plaque of "National Engineering Laboratory" from NDRC

On the afternoon of November 16, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) held an awarding conference for "national model e-commerce cities, national IOT cloud computing demonstration and national innovative ability building" at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. As the only enterprise in the industry that won a construction project of "National Engineering Laboratory", Yuchai received the plaque from NDRC.

Zhang Xiaoqiao, vice chairman of NDRC; Yang Xueshan, vice minister of industry and information technology; Li Jinzao, vice minister of commerce; Wei Chuanzhong, deputy director-general of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ); Xu Qin, mayor of Shenzhen; Xu Rigan, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; as well as representatives of relevant departments under the State Council such as the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Finance, People's Bank of China, General Administration of Customs, State Administration of Taxation, State Administration for Industry & Commerce, AQSIQ, Chinese Academy of Sciences and State Administration of China awarded plaques to relevant units. Gu Tangsheng, president of Yuchai Group, received the plaque. Zhou Sunhai, assistant to president of Yuchai Group, was also present. 　

According to the construction plan for the high-efficiency, energy-conserving and environment-friendly national engineering laboratory, Yuchai will, on the basis of existing R & D and test conditions, build an experimental, design and verification platform for high-efficiency operations of internal combustion engines. The settlement of the national engineering laboratory in Yuchai shows the State's great trust in and recognition of Yuchai and reflects Yuchai's technical lead, said Gu, adding Yuchai is confident of boosting and determined to boost the overall technical level of the industry based on the laboratory to build the core competitiveness of China's internal combustion engine industry. 　　

According to source, "National Engineering Laboratory" is the important deployment of the State for demonstration and innovative development of relevant industries. This time, only 33 enterprises and research institutes won construction projects of "National Engineering Laboratory". Also, the conference awarded plaques to 76 "central and local united engineering research centers", 88 "national accredited technical centers", 97 "national and local united engineering laboratories" as well as several "model e-commerce cities" and "model cities in innovative development of cloud computing services" and "national IOT application and demonstration projects".
