YM ranks among "2011 leading internal combustion engine and parts manufacturers"

On November 12, the "2011 Forum on Development of Chinese Leading Industrial Enterprises", organized by China Industry News, was held in Beijing. At the forum, a grand awarding ceremony was held for Chinese leading industrial enterprises in 2011. As a result, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) ranked among the "leading internal combustion engine and parts manufacturers in 2011".  　

YM is the country's largest professional diesel engine manufacturer, whose Yulin base owns seven plants including the foundry, machining plant and engine plant 1 with a total annual production capacity of over 700,000 diesel engines. In 2010, in accordance with the standards for industry classification released by the National Bureau of Statistics, based on authoritative statistics, YM ranked among the top five "internal combustion engine and parts manufacturers" in terms of sales. This is the immediate reason that YM won the title. 　

YM boasts two domestic first-class research bases in Yulin and Nanning and a high-caliber R & D team, plays a world leading role in technologies of combustion development, low-emission development and mechanical development of internal combustion engines, and has filled several domestic gaps in automotive engine technologies. Besides, YM has voluntarily shouldered environmental responsibility, become a loyal practitioner of low-carbon and green power, and kept ahead in the industry in engine emission control. In 2011, the country's first Euro VI YC6L-60 sample was launched in Yuchai. 　

According to sources, "Chinese leading industrial enterprises in 2011" were selected according to authoritative statistics, under a precise, scientific and fair principle, in reference with the national standards for classification of national economic industries. The event, aimed to explore the value of leading enterprises, promote the concentration of production factors in advantageous enterprises and establish the leading role of listed enterprises, has become an influential branded annual event in industrial circles.
