The mining truck market was launched gradually around the "two conferences" this year. Yuchai's four-valve mining truck engines got off to a flying start in the first quarter.
Yuchai four-valve engines entered the mining truck market in 2007. Yuchai is China's earliest manufacturer that introduced four-valve mining truck engines and an engine manufacturer with the largest sales volume of four-valve mining truck engines. So far, mining trucks of more than 20 brands including Taian Aerospace, Yutong Heavy Industry, Shandong Pengxiang, Shaanxi Tonly and Dongfeng Suizhou Special Vehicle have carried Yuchai four-valve mining truck vehicles.
Compared to two-valve mining truck vehicles, Yuchai four-valve mining truck vehicles enjoy superiority in technology and equipment. They use mature four-valve technology and oil injector middling, and are equipped with Type-P oil pumps and nozzles to enhance intake and exhaust efficiency and oil combustion efficiency and reduce engines' oil consumption. For reasonably-matched mining trucks, the advantage of Yuchai four-valve mining truck engines in energy conservation is more prominent.
In recent years, oil prices have been on the increase and mining truck engines have progressively been transformed into four-valve engines. Last year, in typical open cast mines in areas such as Jilin, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Qinghai and Xinjiang, some customers purchased YC6MK10 engines to replace original two-valve engines in view of high oil costs. Some mining truck manufacturers including Taian Aerospace and Yutong Heavy Industry included Yuchai four-valve mining truck engines as key engines, too.
Yuchai four-valve mining truck engines range from 8.4L to 16.35L in displacement, from 199kW to 441kW in power and from 1,050N.m to 2,700N.m in torque. With a displacement of 8.424L and a power of ranging from 199kW to 250kW, YC6L matches mine gallery trucks; with a respective displacement of 10.338L and 11.726L and a power of ranging from 221kW to 338kW, YC6MK10 and YC6MJ match wide-body mining trucks, articulated mining trucks and mine sprinklers; with a displacement of 16.35L and a power of ranging from 375kW to 441kW, YC6T matches rigid mining dump trucks and mining trains.
As oil prices approaches 9 yuan per liter and oil costs of mining trucks continued to increase, mine customers have paid closer attention to oil costs of vehicles and the sales volume of Yuchai four-valve mining truck vehicles will keep on climbing.
