Case Construction has entirely renewed its wheel loader offering with the new F Series line. Evolved from the E Series, the new range raises the bar on performance and offers solutions to suit the different requirements of customers around the world. We asked Philippe Beer, Product Marketing Manager, to give us the highlights on this new range:
CASE INTERNATIONAL NEWS: If you had to define in one word the key benefit of this new range, what would that be?
Philippe Beer: It would definitely be PRODUCTIVITY. Everything in these new machines is designed to maximize performance, reliability and durability in the toughest conditions. The new F Series deliver exceptional traction and high bucket fill in digging and loading applications. They are available with a choice of two types of axles – standard, for customers looking to make a limited investment and heavy-duty for the ones dealing with the toughest applications.
CASE INTERNATIONAL NEWS: How do the different types of axles available meet our customers’ different needs?
Philippe Beer: The standard axles feature a 29% limited slip differential designed to provide good traction for customers who don’t need a massive performance. The heavy-duty axles, on the other hand, feature open differential with an optional 100% front lock that deliver outstanding traction. These are axles for heavy-duty conditions and are ideal for units that work on hard surfaces, as in quarries, that turn in narrow spaces frequently or that work with high capacity buckets and solid tires in industrial applications. The heavy-duty axles have the added benefit of cutting operating costs with 50% longer maintenance intervals and lower tire wear.
CASE INTERNATIONAL NEWS: I understand there are more exciting news at the top of the range?
Philippe Beer: Yes, we now have two additional models – the 921F (20 ton, 240 hp) and the 1121F (26 ton, 320 hp). Together with the 1021F (23 ton, 270 hp), these models build on Case’s long standing experience in the Construction equipment business to deliver performance and durability in the toughest conditions – just what Case customers need.
CASE INTERNATIONAL NEWS: What about the engine – is there anything new?
Philippe Beer: The F Series enjoys the full benefits of our sister company’s FPT Industrial’s advanced engine technology. They run the powerful, high performance, highly fuel efficient FPT engines, and customers who have tried these machines are delighted with the constant supply of power in all conditions, and the fantastic productivity that comes with it.
CASE INTERNATIONAL NEWS: How would you summarize the new F Series customer’s benefits?
Philippe Beer: Well, the new F Series is plenty of features that customers will highly appreciate. We have already talked about the high productivity, the durability coming from the new axles offering, the powerful engines, the extended range. We cannot forget the comfort provided by the spacious and ergonomic cab and the easy accessibility to the main components, that means for the operator comfort on the daily maintenance activities as well as major safety because the activity can be done conveniently from the ground.
