Doosan Construction Equipment has confirmed more new products to be seen for the first time on the company’s stand at Bauma 2013, the world’s largest construction equipment exhibition, taking place in Munich in Germany from 15-21 April 2013. These include the new 42 tonne DX420LC-3 and 49 tonne DX490LC-3 large Stage IIIB compliant crawler excavators and the new Doosan Heavy Attachment range for use on Doosan wheel loaders and excavators.
Powerful New Excavators
Both the new DX420LC-3 and DX490LC-3 excavators offer the strength and productivity needed for heavy duty work offering several improvements, including a substantial boost in power, resulting in significant increases in performance specifications such as drawbar pull, arm and bucket digging forces and lifting capacities to provide a much higher overall productivity.
The DX420LC-3 excavator is powered by the Isuzu AL-6UZ1X ‘common rail’ 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine meeting Stage IIIB engine emission regulations through the use of Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) after-treatment technologies. The new engine delivers 19% more power [270 kW (362 HP)] at 2,000 RPM with a 6% increase in engine torque. A new travel device in the DX420LC-3 excavator contributes to an increase in drawbar pull by 10%, a 5% increase in swing torque and a 10% increase in the travel speed.
The DX490LC-3 model is also a very powerful machine with extra reach and stability allowing it to accomplish long cycles and heavy pulling work with ease. It is powered by the well-proven Isuzu AL-6WG1X common rail, variable geometry turbocharge, 6-cylinder diesel engine utilising EGR and DPF technologies to meet Stage IIIB regulations. The new Isuzu engine provides 16% more power [290 kW (389 HP) at 1800 RPM], a 30% rise in displacement and a massive 41% increase in engine torque, compared to the previous DX480LC model.
New Quick Couplers for Doosan Wheel Loaders
At Bauma 2013, Doosan will be showing a new range of ISO 23727 type quick coupler systems for the company’s new generation Doosan DL200-3 to DL420-3 Stage IIIB compliant wheel loaders for the first time.
For use with the new quick couplers, Doosan will also be showing a
complementary range of pallet fork and bucket attachments including:
•Pallet forks with load capacities from 5 to 9 tonne
•General purpose buckets from 2 to 4.2 m³
•Heavy duty buckets from 2 to 4.2 m³
•Light material buckets from 3 to 6.5 m³
The launch of the quick coupler wheel loader attachments is the
latest expansion of the new Doosan Heavy Attachment range for the
Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Offering a one-stop shop
for wheel loader and excavator attachments, the Doosan Heavy Attachment
range can be seen for the first time at Bauma 2013 and, as well as the
wheel loader quick coupler products, other highlights include:
•A new range of pin-on wheel loader buckets
•A new range of excavator buckets and universal pin-on quick couplers
•An extended range of Doosan hydraulic breakers
All of the new Doosan attachments have been designed to match the key
machine parameters and kinematics of Doosan wheel loaders and
excavators to ensure optimum performance, visibility, stability and safe
operation at all times. All of the attachments are designed,
manufactured, tested and approved in accordance with current
international standards.
